2. Products and Services
We assist in arranging travel services provided by third-party suppliers across Japan. We act as an intermediary; the actual services are delivered by the respective suppliers.

3. Pricing
Prices for all services are displayed on the respective product pages or within the trip planning tool. Unless otherwise stated, prices are generally shown in Japanese Yen (JPY). Prices are dynamic and may vary based on dates, availability, and supplier requirements. If component prices cannot be immediately confirmed in advance via our automated system, we will clearly disclose how the final price will be calculated.
4. Costs Beyond Product/Service Prices
- Delivery Fees: Services and vouchers are delivered electronically, with no delivery fees charged.
- Local Charges: Travelers are responsible for any mandatory local fees payable on-site, such as municipal taxes levied by hotels, resort fees, or venue surcharges (where applicable).
- Transaction Fees: Any currency conversion fees or foreign transaction charges imposed by your bank or card issuer are the customer’s responsibility.
- Additional Fees: Any additional administrative fees we charge will be clearly stated with the amount before purchase.
5. Payment Methods
We accept major credit and debit cards via our payment processor, Stripe. Accepted card types will be displayed during checkout. The ZenJPTrip system does not store full card numbers.
6. Payment Timing
Payment timing depends on the type of booking:
Individual Items (Tours, Tickets, Transfers, or Hotel-Only)
Payment is generally required in full at the time of booking, subject to supplier terms stated before checkout.
Packages (Combining Two or More Services)
The payment schedule is as follows:
- Deposit: 20% of the total package price at the time of booking.
- Second Installment: 40% due 90 calendar days before the package start date.
- Final Installment: 40% due 30 calendar days before the package start date.
Late Bookings
- Bookings made 31–89 days before departure: 60% due at booking; 40% due 30 days before departure.
- Bookings made 30 days or fewer before departure: 100% due at booking.
By completing checkout, you authorize ZenJPTrip to automatically charge each installment to your saved payment method on the respective due dates.
7. Delivery of Services and Documents
Order acceptance will be confirmed via email immediately after a successful booking. Depending on product terms, electronic confirmations, tickets, or vouchers will be sent to your registered email address or account upon payment. For packages, final documents will be issued before the service start date, provided full payment has been received.
8. Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds
- Individual Items: The specific supplier’s cancellation and change policies apply. These policies are displayed on the product page, in the final confirmation interface, and in your confirmation email.
- Packages: ZenJPTrip’s package policies apply, including payment schedules and any stated cancellation fees or non-refundable components (see our General Terms and Conditions for details). Policies are clearly displayed before purchase and in the final confirmation interface.
Note on Cooling-Off Period: Please be aware that under Japanese law, there is no statutory cooling-off period for mail-order travel services of this type. All applicable cancellation terms are clearly displayed at the time of booking; please review these carefully before confirming your purchase.
9. Return of Delivered Goods
We primarily sell services. If tangible goods (e.g., physical rail passes) are included, returns or exchanges will be handled in accordance with the specific policy for that item. If returns of non-defective goods are not accepted, this will be clearly stated.
10. Special Conditions and Restrictions
All promotions are subject to availability. Supplier rules such as age restrictions, identity verification requirements, health requirements, and specific check-in procedures apply. Any components that are non-refundable or subject to special terms will be clearly flagged before payment.
